Hey everyone! Thanks for your patience. We have been a little crazy around here. The surgery went great! The Dr. said it couldn't have gone better. She did great with the anesthesia and they were in there for just over an hour, so we were very happy! She had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia, so we had to get a wet wash cloth and try to rouse her out of sleep. She ended up drinking some water and juice, and then threw up a little of it, but that has been the only trouble we have had with her keeping things down, so that is a blessing. She was in pain so the nurse gave her some pain medication, watched her for an hour, then said we were good to go. It was a little scary to go home, but a blessing. It is never fun to stay in the hospital with a child. We got home around 11.
In the night, we made sure she had her pain meds, and tried to give her a little food. Finally at 6, she did eat some yogurt. She has basically slept the day away, but has been playing and walking around a little. Basically she is doing a lot better than I imagined! I am now going to sleep while she is sleeping!
