OK everyone. Today is the day of Evie's surgery. Some of you know that she was born with some problems. She has something called Vesicoureteral Reflux. Basically her ureters attached improperly so she get a lot of UTI's and kidney infections. She has been on a low dose antibiotic since we discovered this problem at 6 weeks old. We found out a few months ago that it is getting worse and not better. Many children who have this get better after a year. We decided to do the surgery so hopefully the problem will be taken care of. Basically they are going to detach the ureters, and reattach them at a different angle. It is a pretty long surgery (2 1/2) hrs. and we will be staying at Primary's for a few days. Her surgery is at 2:45 today, so she is on a liquid diet until 11:45, and then nothing! Yuck!
The above pictures are of her eating breakfast this morning. She didn't really love the jello, but loved the juice boxes.
Keep us in your prayers!!
