Oregon!

**Disclaimer: Okay, someday I will learn how to post more than 5 pictures at a time, and will also learn how to change the order....**

We had a great time on our trip to Oregon! We took two days to get there, and had fun exploring many parks along the way! We arrived at the Phillips in Hillsboro (just outside of Portland) on Thursday night. On Friday we had an amazing 5 course lunch at a culinary school in Portland (Chris's sibs went to school there). It was really yummy and unique, for example, Jeff ordered pickled watermelon rind salad......and I had pureed celery root..... It was delicious and fun to see a little of downtown Portland. Then we walked the grounds of the Nike campus where Chris works. It was beautiful and HUGE!!! A lake, huge sports fields, beautiful gardens and waterfalls....It was very fun. Then Chris took us to the company store where we were able to get some new shoes for half price! Gotta love that! To finish the day off we took the kids to the Pizza Planet. A fun pizza place with lots of blow up toys and a huge climbing/slide area. They had a blast!

On Saturday we hit the road and drove west to the Tillamook forest. We had a great time exploring the Tillamook Forest Center. They have a great award winning movie showing the devastation of the fires in the middle of the last century. We even got to climb up a forest fire watch tower. It was so beautiful here, and a real rain forest. Then we explored the Wilson River bottoms. The kids loved it.

The Wilde's and Phillip's on the Wilson bridge

Look how green it is. p.s. Evie is wearing pillowcase because her dress got wet during our picnic! Aren't I inventive!!

Our family at the top of the tower

This picture is out of order! This was our very first stop...Promontory Point! The steam engines were just getting ready to go. The whistle was very loud!
